What is Tree Cabling & Bracing
Tree cabling (also known as bracing) is a specialized process that adds strength, durability, and damage resistance to a tree. By adding hardware, fasteners, and steel cables, cabling can provide much-needed support to weak areas of a tree, such as underneath heavy limbs. A common cause for concern is what’s called a “V crotch”: where the trunk of the tree splits into two separate limbs to form a “V” shape. I noticed, standing in my yard on a SUNDAY afternoon, that our Magnolia had some kind of infestation. I got on Yelp, found this arborist, called them and left a voicemail. First thing MONDAY MORNING, someone returned my call. WOW. What other companies are this responsive?! The office manager took my information and Patrick called me back just a little while later and offered to come by and look at my trees THAT EVENING! Patrick is obviously knowledgeable and personable, easy to talk to, doesn't sell you or make you uncomfortable in any way; straightforward but easy going. The price seemed very reasonable/fair. (We didn't get a second quote – why dork around for another couple weeks trying to get someone else to return my calls and come out? Besides, we really liked Patrick and also, we've had enough other tree/yard work done over the years to know that they were in the ballpark.) Our magnolia was treated twice over the following week or two and already I can tell it is getting better. We also had two old apple trees taken down, and like the other reviewer said, the clean up was excellent! You wouldn't know anything was done except that the trees had disappeared. :-) We were VERY pleased with GreenTrees and plan to recommend them to our neighbors and definitely use them again!

When they came to give an estimate, I asked Pat to look at a few other trees with branches too close to the house. He had no problem checking them out, giving an assessment, and adding a separate list of charges so I could consider getting the extra work done. He also noticed that a large branch on another tree was cracked in half – added removal of that branch for little additional. Very pleased with the professional yet friendly attitude!
